Expert Group AI Infrastructure
Introduction
The AI Park Expert Group - AI Infrastructure was established in February 2024 under the leadership of our Executive Board member Olly Salzmann. Since then, the group has held numerous targeted discussions with leading experts in the field to identify the need for action for Germany and Europe in the area of AI infrastructure. Topics include the need for sustainable, sovereign AI infrastructure and skilled labour, advances in accelerated computing, resource-efficient solutions for AI training and inferencing, breakthroughs in sustainable or net-zero operating procedures, confidential data processing and improved governance with a focus on security, storage and computing power.

Mission and vision
The AI Park Expert Group - AI Infrastructure promotes regular dialogue between the participants in order to identify current challenges and develop suitable formats to jointly advance the AI infrastructure in Germany and Europe. Our vision is a sovereign, sustainable and secure infrastructure for AI applications that can be accessed by AI Park members and European organisations.
Working methods and projects
The working method of the expert group is based on a collaborative approach, with regular meetings and workshops to promote knowledge sharing and discuss new developments. The group consists of experts from the fields of banking, FinTech start-ups and technology.

The AI Park Expert Group - AI Infrastructure provides a variety of resources and publications to promote knowledge sharing and education in the field. These include detailed reports, white papers and studies that provide in-depth analyses and recommendations. In addition, the group regularly organises workshops and seminars to discuss current developments and best practices. These resources and publications will be available as soon as the Expert Group has published its initial findings.
