KI Park Innovation Forum Lingen
19 March at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences
The Lingen region-particularly its strong SME sector-offers great potential for driving AI innovation. With the launch of another ⭕️KI Park Satellite, we're expanding our network across research, industry, startups, and public administration.
Our Satellite in Lingen is already driving change- a packed room of 240+ people that joined our ⭕️KI Park Innovation Forum showed the region's high interest for applied AI.
KI Park Managing Director Dr Florian Schütz spoke about the future added value for the region, sharing key insights:
🌐AI strategy and management are top priorities. Beyond compliance with the AI Act, it's about engaging all employees and stakeholders, building competencies, defining the tech infrastructure, and prioritising use cases. The 228 members of KI Park address these challenges together-united as an ecosystem.
🧠GenAI use cases help companies quickly adopt AI across departments-from marketing to legal-while core business applications like forecasting and optimisation ensure long-term competitiveness. Many of these require co-development but deliver lasting value.
A major highlight of the day was the keynote by Johann Dornbach (Vice President AI Frontier, Aleph Alpha), who offered a compelling look at the transformative power of AI and how companies can use it strategically. Prof. Dr Goy Hinrich Korn (CDO, KRONE GROUP) followed with tangible examples of how AI is already delivering value at KRONE. We also heard strong contributions from Benjamin Wolters (Head of AI, Data & Architecture, ROSES Technology and Research Centre GmbH) and Dr Henning Krüp (Head of AI Hub, LIST Group AG), who shared practical perspectives on safe and focused AI implementation.
Another special moment: Minister of Economic Affairs of Lower Saxony Olaf Lies took on the patronage of the new KI Park Satellite and, in a dedicated video message, underlined its importance for Lower Saxony's economic future.
The day concluded with a panel discussion featuring all keynote speakers, joined by Lord Mayor Dieter Krone and Prof. Dr. Liane Haak-bringing valuable regional context and rounding off the programme with momentum.
We also created space for innovation: Regional companies and KI Park members-dida, ARC Intelligence, artiquare, and PLAN D-showcased their AI solutions and projects.
