KI PARK SUMMER EVENT 2023: FORWARD-LOOKING TECHNOLOGIES AND A RAPIDLY GROWING ECOSYSTEM

Berlin, 15 May 2023 - Several hundred partners, members and guests of KI Park e. V. experienced a day full of AI content, networking and inspiring AI companies during the KI Park Summer Event on 11 May at the trendy Brewdog Dogtap brewery in Berlin's Marienpark. The event was one of the highlights of the German AI Month mAI, which offers a diverse range of events until 28 May for AI experts and the general public to get to know the diverse German AI ecosystem.

AI Park Summer Event: Extensive professional programme with infotainment, knowledge sharing and interdisciplinary exchange

The AI Park Summer Event started with the interactive AI Breakfast. At three thematic tables, around 50 experts from established companies, start-ups, research and society discussed AI innovations from a business, technical and social perspective. Furthermore, Olaf Erichsen, founder of Heldenkombinat Technologies, shared his experiences on success factors for successful AI projects. Another event part of the morning was the AI showcases, where members of the AI Park presented their AI showcases and solutions in an informal exhibition. The informative exhibition included Deloitte, Informatica, Plan D GmbH, HP, NAVASTO GmbH, N Robotics, Büsing Müffelmann & Theye, Casculate, Michael Schäfer - Bot Art, HeronOS, Record Evolution, dida, ML6, and 1000kelvin. A special highlight was the final of the Digital Trust Challenge. Innovative solutions that combat fake news, bots and trolls on the internet and strengthen trust in the digital space were in demand.

At the finale, the five finalists, who had previously won against entries from 13 countries, pitched their ideas: Numbers Protocol, PENEMUE, MindBugs_Official, OCHI (Kyrylo Beskorovayny), and Factiverse AS, pitched their ideas on stage in front of the expert jury. The Digital Trust Award went to the company Factiverse AS from Norway.

In the afternoon, numerous participants took the opportunity to get to know the 30-hectare Marienpark, one of the largest innovation districts in Berlin, on guided tours and to experience the site as the new digital location in the south of Berlin.

As a brilliant conclusion to the day, Prof. Dr. Sabina Jeschke (CEO of KI Park), Dr. Tina Klüwer (Director AI of K.I.E.Z.), Olly Salzmann (CSGO of KI Park) and Dr. Florian Schütz (Managing Director of KI Park) spoke to experts, members and guests of the KI Park network. After the welcome by Dr. Schütz, Prof. Jeschke inspired the audience with her lecture "Quo vadis AI" and her 10 theses on artificial intelligence. Dr Klüwer provided insights into the topic of "AI and Consciousness" with her lecture and gave exciting insights into the world of consciousness of humans and machines. Finally, Olly Salzmann presented the current and planned strategic projects of the KI Park.

Afterwards, the participants ended the eventful day on the terrace of the BrewDog Dogtap with lively conversations and discussions.

Members and guests take positive stock

Numerous guests took the opportunity to get to know the AI ecosystem, to be inspired by concrete AI case studies and to exchange ideas with AI experts and decision-makers from the business world.

The organisers, partners, members and guests all agreed that the KI Park Summer Event was an all-round success in the spirit of innovation. The association would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
